A two out walk in the top of the first is followed by a strikeout to end the inning, no score.

In the bottom of the 1st Alonso Rivera crushes the first pitch he sees over the wall in center for a two out solo homerun to give Sioux Falls a 1-0 lead. Fernando Guteirrez follows with a double and El Khalej singles to score him to make it 2-0. The inning ends with Sioux Falls up 2-0.

Indianapolis is retired in order in the top of the second.

In the bottom of the 2nd Geoff Graham leads off with a single. After a fly out Nate Davis is walked to give them runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out. A double play on the next pitch ends the inning with the score still 2-0.

With two outs in the top of the 3rd Dan Watts and Wilson Martinez have back to back singles to give Indianapolis runners at the corners. Leland Dundee grounds out to second on a 3-0 pitch to end the threat.

Sioux Falls is retired in order in the bottom of the 3rd.

After three innings of play Sioux Falls leads 2-0.

Indianapolis loads the bases with no outs in the top of the 4th with two singles and a hit by pitch. The next two batters pop up for two outs. The next batter ground out to first to end the threat. They had a great chance there and blew it.

Sioux Falls goes down in order in the bottom of the 4th.

Dan Watts singles to open the 5th. Wilson Martinez doubles, Watts stops at third. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Leland Dundee singles on the first pitch; Watts scores and Martinez stops at 3rd. Runners at the corners with no outs, 2-1 in favor of Sioux Falls. Jose Juarez strikes out. Dundee is thrown out trying to steal second and Jose Gonzales pops out to end the inning but Indianapolis gets on the board and trails 2-1.

Grammer and Davis single to open the inning, 1st and 2nd with no outs. A sacrifice moves them up a base. Ts'ai singles home a run to make it 3-1. Runners at the corners with 1 out. Ortiz walks to load the bases but a double play ends the inning. Sioux Falls leads 3-1 after 5 innings of play.

A double, walk and an error load the bases with no outs in the top of the 6th. Kevin Mosier grounds out to score a run and make it 3-2 with one out and runners and 2nd and 3rd. Dan Watts grounds out and the tying run scores. After a walk, Leland Dundee strikes out to end the inning but they have tied it 3-3.

Fernando Gutierrez triples to open the inning. E Khalej ground out to third with the infield in, runner stays at third. Graham is walked intentionally. Grammer hits a line drive to shallow left, runners do not advance. Nate Davis pops out to end the inning, they blow a chance to retake the lead.

After six innings the score is tied 3-3.

A single and ground out put a runner at second with two outs in the top of the 7th but a strikeout ends the inning.

Sioux Falls is retired in order in the bottom of the 7th.

Both teams are retired in order in the 8th.

Indianapolis is retired in order in the top of the 9th, all struck out.

The first two batters strike out in the bottom of the 9th. Nate Davis singles on a 1-1 pitch. Jerry Baker singles on an 0-2 pitch and Davis goes to third. Runners at the corners with two out, the winning run just 90 feet away. Luis Herrera grounds back to the pitcher on a 2-1 pitch to end the inning.

After 9 innings the game is tied 3-3. It is going to extra innings.

Jose Gonzales singles to open the 10th. Ricardo Negrete singles, 1st and 2nd with no outs. A sacrifice moves the runners up a base, 2nd and 3rd with one out. Chris Taylor ground back to the pitcher, runners hold, two outs. Jesus Palacios singles to left on a 1-0 pitch, one run scores, the second runner heading for the plate... the throw... safe. Palacios moves to 2nd on the throw and Indianapolis leads 5-3. Dan Watts singles, Palacios scores to make it 6-3. After a walk puts runners at 1st and 2nd Dundee pops up to end the inning. Indianapolis leads 6-3 going into the bottom of the 10th.

With one out Alonso Rivera singles. Gutierrez pops out to second, two outs. El Khalej grounds out to short to end the inning and the game.

Indianapolis wins 6-3 in 10 innings in front of 45,306 disappointed Sioux Falls fans.
