FBCB saved games aren't in a folder called that. They're defaulted to your documents\GDS folder like below:

There isn't a backups folder, the game does enable you to save more often though and if you're fast-simming or even if not, I'd take advantage of that so if/when you do run into a crash it's less likely to lose as much of your progress.

Before it saves your game it creates a copy of the current files, so if it crashes will saving the new data, you should be able to rename the current files and restore from that point at least.
