Strange as it may sound, my slow "recovery run" today may well have been the most encouraging run I've had in all this time. It was six miles at a 10:04 pace and my average heart rate was only 133. As recently as around April of this year, 10 minutes per mile for 6 miles was a "if-I-run-and-train-really-hard-maybe-one-day-I-can-do-it" *goal* for me, and now it's a throwaway easy workout. As I've said before, I'm as stunned as anyone at the progress that can be made.
