anytime there is a rule change for player safety someone is going to start shouting about the pussification of the NFL and how it is going to ruin the sport.
I think the sport is going to be ruined by head trauma if they can't make it safer. 10 years ago I would have loved if I had a son who played football, now I don't think I would even allow it, and certainly not encourage it.
Not to mention someone dying on the field or in the locker room would be pretty bad for the league.
