Because there is no requirement for one having to wear team gear in order to attend or enjoy a baseball game, no more than having to dress up like Yoda to attend or enjoy a Star Wars movie. If it becomes an issue (as in this case), then don't wear stuff like that. Baseball, esp. at Wrigley, is immensely enjoyable as it is without having fans think they play for the team or pretend they are a certain player.
