Been having knee reactions after running in the last couple of months, so although I usually run 8-10 miles, after 2-3 weeks no running (still cycling though as no reaction after that) I've stared at 1 and increasing a mile every run to see if there's a trigger point.
Just did a 5k and while I normally run at a pace that is at the upper end of comfortable for me, I did put pretty much max effort into it today to try and put in a decent time (only timed myself once over 5k - seem to have missed out that particular distance for some reason)
Very pleased I did: it was tough, and it probably took me nearly 10 minutes to get over it, but 20:54 is a time I am very pleased with. And it's a time that I have no intention of trying to beat tbh as I'm not actually sure I enjoyed it!
