Well, I'm surprised that they offered me a new contract. I am signed until 2018, at $9,000 per week (pretty sizable pay cut). I will get a $100k bonus if I win promotion as well as an increase of 25% in salary. I'll be getting a 15% raise next year regardless.
There is also a clause cutting my salary by 35% if I get relegated, but I'm sure I'd be out of a job if that happened.
The catch: I have a transfer budget of only $275k and a payroll budget of $550k. I am currently at that budget limit. Chances are, a few of the higher paid players will not accept staying on the club, so I'm sure I'll be freeing a salary or two.
