I still think it's a stretch to consider him "one of the greatest players of his generation."
Consistent...yes.
Durable...yes.
Would I want him "going to war with me" if I was a baseball player...yes.
But I think some of this "farewell tour" stuff is BS that he wouldn't be getting if he played for say...the Royals.
