Why was Bob outside the church crying just before he got knocked out? Also, was that car that sped past Darel and Carol, the same car that drove off with Beth. Wouldn't Darel have recognized it and said something?

Speculation is because Bob got bit or scratched or whatever in the food pantry and was infected and didn't tell anyone.

And Daryl did recognize it - that's why they hopped in the car and sped after it.
