First game with the guy that better be our new star, or else.
9': Harewood gets a pass at the top of the box, turns wide and around his man, gets a shot, keeper has to make a diving save and its cleared to the side for a throw.
29': What a horrible mistake, Davies holding onto the ball in right around our own third, waiting for someone to free up/make a run, and the defender closest to him makes an aggressive play, runs his shoulder into Davies, runs him off the ball and takes it, no foul given, and maybe none deserved really. Two passes later they get a clear cut chance from 18 yard sout and score. 0-1
36': Hope takes his first shot, its blocked. Did most of the work to generate it himself.
42': Chantler makes a nice move to get by his man, passes it further down the left side for Davies, Davies a nice cross, Harewood heads it... keeper gets a hand to it, I thought that was a goal. Corner, which goes nowhere.
HALF: Its a fairly even half, we just had one awful, awful giveaway in our end that led to a goal. We outshoot them 4-3, 3 of ours are on target, a couple with a little threat, gotta do more though.
60': Good cross to the far post from Chantler, Harewood gets his head on it but its high.
70': Wheeler in for Davies.
81': Throwin on the right side, we spot Tisder in the left side of the area and cross it over to him after the throw, he lays it into the center for Hope, Hope hits it left footed first time, and its by a diving keeper and into the left side of the net!! 1-1
83': Woodman in for Chantler
88': Woodman gets a cross in for Harewood, he heads it.. wide. Oh wait, deflected, corner for us.
90': Byrne in for Tidser.

Mansfield 1 : 1 Exeter
Mansfield went all out defense mode after we tied it up, they were terrified of giving up more. We actually connected on a few crosses today, Harewood is my best man in the air, he's in a different role with Hope as target man up front (target man here means set up for balls to the feet, apparently), so maybe this gets Harewood more chances on crosses.
We outshoot them 9-7, putting 5 on target, just 1 on target for Mansfield, and it was off a terrible misplay.
Chantler is man of the match with a 7.5 rating. Hope a 6.8 with the goal, Tidser a 6.6 w/ the assist.
