Gold Practice Update
So the heater in the pool is broken again, apparently, the system will run for about a half an hour to an hour and then shut off. Because no one was at the facility over night the water temperature to dropped into the low 70s, and because the heater won't run consistently it never gets fully heated and barely makes an impact on the water temp before it shut off and the process has to restart.
It was so cold the coach actually pulled Brett out of the water on several occasions to allow him to warm up. In addition, he canceled the practice early for Brett and a very skinny older girl who was really struggling with the cold water.
After practice the coach found us and said he felt really bad for Brett. That with his build (read no body fat), he really couldn't handle the cold water well, and he felt like he was torturing the kid making him practice. He also informed us that it doesn't look like the facility will be able to get the heater repaired before the 29th. Also there will be no one present at the facility to manually restart the system, so he expects the water on Friday to be in the 60s - maybe even the low 60s. There is a distinct possibility the practice will be cancled.
