Gold Grand Prix Meet 3 – RESULTS

#311A (d1/s1): G 11-12 100 Fly (1:05.52Y ) – She remains flat…Adding a 1.2 seconds and finishing in a 1:06.72. She did win this event going away…but she needs
#319A (d1/s1): G 11-12 50 Back (31.82Y ) – Poor swim…added 1.39 seconds, finished second with a time of 33.21.
#341A (d1/s1): G 11-12 200 Breast (3:05.42Y ) – Finally, a good swim…she dropped 6.33 seconds to post a personal best 2:59.09. Hopefully, this helps her confidence in breast and will improve her IMs.
#359A (d1/s1): G 11-12 200 Free (2:11.27Y ) – Horrible swim – added almost 8 seconds to her personal best time, finishing in a 2:19.06. Last time she swam that poorly in this even was Dec 2013…
Starting to get real concerned with Bailey’s progress this season…

Bear
#314A (d1/s1): B 11-12 200 Fly (2:23.84Y ) – So he didn’t drop time, and he didn’t add time either. Amazingly, he swam the exact same time as his seed, down to the hundredth of a second. 2:23.84.
#320A (d1/s1): B 11-12 50 Back (34.00Y ) – Nice improvement, as I expected. 32.75, and I’m sure it would have been better with more time to rest between events. Just missed a state cut – but probably doesn’t matter because I doubt he’d swim it at state anyway.
#342A (d1/s1): B 11-12 200 Breast (3:01.57Y ) – And like Bailey, who improved 6.33 seconds, Bear improved 5.07 seconds. Dropping to a 2:56.50 – this is less than a second from the state cut. Again not that he would swim it, but it could help his standing in the IMs.
#354A (d1/s1): B 11-12 100 Free (58.56Y ) – Seems that his illness during the week finally caught up to him here. He added 3 seconds and finished with a 1:01.69.
