SCAT Winter Invite RESULTS
Bear
#2 (d1/s1): B 12-12 100 Free (58.56Y ) – Bear got is good swim he was looking for. In fact, it was a personal best time of 58.49.
#10 (d1/s1): B 12-12 100 Back (1:09.18Y ) – looked good except for the walls. Way to tentative going into them. Cost himself a good bit of time 1:11.11
#18 (d1/s1): B 12-12 50 Back (34.00Y ) – Finished with a 33.13…exact same issues as the 100…
#52 (d2/s3): B 12-12 50 Free (27.18Y ) – Given that I said in the pre-race write up “anything 27 low will be a very good swim” So a 27.19….01 off a PB is pretty good indeed.
#56 (d2/s3): B 12-12 200 Fly (2:23.84Y ) – I was wrong…he dropped 2.4 seconds to finish 2:21.44 – Very strong swim.
#66 (d2/s3): B 12-12 100 Breast (1:25.61Y ) – Managed another real strong swim here dropping 1.64 seconds to finish with a 1:23.97
#70 (d2/s3): B 12-12 200 Free (2:05.16Y ) – Real poor swim here. I think the weekend races, meet consecutive weekends, and the lack of taper finally wore him out. He swam a 2:09.50…very unusual for him in what is basically a mid-distance Freestyle.
Bear looked good in this meet as well. In fact, he had a couple of nice improvements, which under the circumstances are pretty impressive.
