If that's the case, they should be calling the writers to the stage and awarding them. In Beck's case(and any other musician) that would be one and the same.
Beyonce is talented, but she's just a performer/entertainer. She's no musician. Anyone could execute the material she's being handed, she just has the bankable brand.
