Left fielder Tim Raines leads off for Dayton. The 2-0 pitch is grounded to second, he flips to Clark at first for out number one.
Second baseman Joe Morgan is up with no one on and one out. He gets ahead 3-1 and takes then next pitch low and away for ball four, he takes his base.
Right fielder Hank Aaron steps up with a runner at 1st and one out. He gets a 3-1 hitters count and takes a big swing but pops it up to short. Reese is under it and makes the catch for out number two.
Third baseman Al Rosen is up with two outs and a runner at first. On a 3-2 pitch Morgan is running and Rosen pops it up in foul territory near third. Robinson drops the ball for an error, he is still alive. Morgan is running again on the next pitch and Rosen rips a line drive base hit to center; Morgan makes it to third with no throw.
Centerfielder Chick Stahl is up with two outs and runners at the corners. The 1-1 pitch is grounded to first. Clark has it and makes the play at first himself for the final out of the inning.
No runs on one hit with one error and two men left on base.
