2015 ESSZ Age Group Sectionals – GaTech – 3/12-3/15

The final Psych Sheet has been released. There were a couple of changes, they are noted below:

Day 2

#15 Girls 11-12 50 Fly
Bailey – 28.82 : Seeded 28 – A good seeding in this even for Bailey. This is one of those races where her small size really hurts, and with a good swim, she could challenge for the B final. Currently she’s only a half second behind the girl seeded 20th, and a better dive could speed her up a half second.

#20 Boys 11-12 100 IM
Bear – 1:08.51 : Seeded 81 – This is a funky race for Bear. He hasn’t swum this race since December, and his Breast has improved significantly since then. In fact, if you take his 200 IM from State (a much more taxing event) and cut the time in half it comes to a 1:09.4…so he could drop a couple seconds easy, and a 1:06.5 would be seeded 39…

Day 3

#42 Boys 11-12 100 Free
Bear – 57.33 : Seeded 38 – Hard to get a read on this one. Bear won’t challenge for anything here, and unfortunately, he’ll probably miss the heat with a bunch of kids he knows and would like to race, but I’m sure he’ll push and he could drop some time, but a top 30 finish would be good.

Day 4

#85 Girls 11-12 200 IM
Bailey 2:26.54 : Seeded 65 – If her breast improves this time will drop. Also like the 100 back, based on how she does in the 200 fly, it will impact my expectations.

Still no confirmation on the relays being corrected.
