I played out a season using Britrock's 1974 setup, and saw UCLA went undefeated to win the national title. That's not terribly notable.
What is, however, is what their PG, Claude O'Neil did in the title game. He averaged 13.5 points and nearly five assists a game over the season. In the title game, he shot 20-23 from the field, and went for 51 in a 112-72 victory over Marquette.
The game also saw 16-seed St. Bonaventure beat top-seeded UNC, en route to the Sweet 16.
My goodness, I can't wait for Sunday.
