Right-click on the desktop and go to personalize. Click Display in the lower left corner. Go to Set Custom Text Size (DPI) and make sure the "Use Windows XP style DPI scaling" box is unchecked. Then try increasing the text size used by the game. Depending on the windows version you have you may be able to select 100% (96dpi), 125%(120dpi) or 150%(144dpi).
