Also, as I already pointed out, the umpires botched this situation terribly, only making the situation worse than it already was. As a result, not only did we see what happened later in the game, it's very clear judging from the post-game reactions that poor decision is now going to cause problems in further games. Just a terrible job by the umpires in this case.
