Which is where the Royals push it too far. Lawrie did something you see on a weekly basis in MLB and every other level of baseball. It just so happened Escobar was injured doing so. The Royals get a free pass to hit Lawrie in the ribs and everyone should move on. He apologized and took his beaning without a reaction. Coming back and throwing shoulder high behind him with a 100mph fastball takes things too far.

Yes, a Royals player got hit today and if they're so sensitive they feel the need to go out and hit someone in retaliation you don't go back at Lawrie and you keep it thigh or rib high if you do. What is clear is the Royals are the team that continue to escalate things.
