Palmiero - yes there were probably other winners, but Palmiero's effort was more than a foot better than every other athlete, and even more importantly was over 2.5 feet better than those around him in the overall standings

Losers

Bafou - while not in the running for a medal, this injury will most likely prevent him from moving any higher in the standings
