It's why Austin, Michaels, and The Rock got over back in the day. Their promos were never really scripted. Just given a talking point or two and told to wing it. Came across much more authentic.
That's the one huge difference I see in today's product and that of Monday Night Wars. WWE let guys just do their thing and it was great.
