Let me recommend
The Fall as well. 3 short seasons, but very well written and acted. Somewhat disappointing that the whole series has been based around the same case, but it still draws you in very well. I will say that if I had just watched season 1 and had to wait a year for season 2, I would have been pissed.

The Tudors feel. It is very interestingly created for French television by Canal, BBC, Canadian Superstation and some American cable network I've never hear of, but using largely British actors, and all in English.
