Research Director's Briefing: Dr. JIMGA Jr.
As a follow-up to your last project, we found five deposits of neutronium ore presently within our borders. It'll be a fairly high priority to invest in that at whatever points we find ourselves with a mineral surplus(the continual navy/army expansion eats up most of them).
** Focusing Arrays II(Particles, 45 mo.) -- Procedural tech yielding a 5% increase in energy weapon damage, which is always useful for our lances.
** Dark Matter Drawing(Field Manipulation, 52 mo.) -- Unlocks the strategic resource Dark Matter, which is considered to be fairly rare as it only occurs in black holes or nebulae. The Dark Matter Reactor is allowed, which produces energy and physics research.
** Focused Arc Emitter(Particles, 70 mo.) -- Like the Arc Emitter we currently use, only more powerful(the usual 15% or so increase).
** Quantam Destabilizer(Field Manipulation, 33 mo.) -- Special equipment for ships or stations. These 'agitate the local quantam field'(whatever that means), disturbing targeting equipment on enemy ships. How it only affects enemy ships and not ours is anybody's guess. Only the shadow knows ... along with JIMGA. Anyway the net effect is a 15% reduction in fire rate for these enemy ships. That seems like it might be useful. This is a rare technology.
