So, the other day, the interior driver's side door handle of my car snapped off in my hand. It didn't come off of the hinge into the door frame; the plastic just literally broke right off of the base.
I have never heard of this happening to anyone, much less me. And it occurs to me, why not? It is one of the most used pieces of moveable equipment in a car and almost all of these are made out of some fairly flimsy plastic that is selected more for how it fits into the aesthetics of the car interior than for its structural integrity.
Anyone else had this happen to them?
