I dunno, I didn't mind J.R.. Yeah, he was redundant, but it had to be hard calling the show live when he hasn't done that with any regularity in a long time. I thought the chemistry between he and Barnett made up for it.
As for the shows, I was disappointed they didn't do more on the opening night with the Luchadores, the Billy Gunn stuff we knew wasn't gonna be anything special at all and while it feels like a waste of Tanahashi, I'd rather he do as little as possible given his injury situation.
I thought the tournament matches, save for Page & Lethal were awesome. Ishii and Omega were the clear MVP's of the weekend.
