There are always some crazy fans, but the Texas fans I've seen are excited for Herman but realize it's going to take him a little bit of time. Even Herman was questioning why they were ranked.
I really like Herman and I think he gets things right there, but I don't think it starts this year. Most likely they finish behind OSU, OU, WVU, KState, and TCU this year.
