I was getting ready for my medical this week and part of that is reporting my flight time to the FAA. In that process, I realized that I've crossed over the 10,000 hour threshold this year, probably late July or early August. It took me about 14.5 years to get here, and my calculations mean it should take me about 16 years to get the next 10,000. Using the same math, if I stay healthy I should finish my career with about 25,000 flight hours.
