I will say that, best I can tell, the heavily rural/agrarian feel the school had back in the 80s & into the 90s seems to be less of a thing today.
I will also note -- since I looked it up in conjunction with this topic -- that I'm surprised to discover that neither Shorter nor Reinhardt have swimming programs yet. (for those outside the geography, those are probably the two closest colleges to Berry, one in the same town & the other maybe 30 mins away)

Between Reinhardt, Shorter, and UNG, I'm disappointed that none have stepped up to field a swim team. I realize swimming is an expensive sport if you have an on campus pool you have to take care of, but UNG already has a pool that they are making available to the students (at least they used to) and it could be used for practices and meets could be run at the Cumming Aquatic Center (right across the parking lot from one of their satellite campuses). Not sure if Reinhardt or Shorter have a SCY pool on premises, but there are a number of pools in the area that could be used as Georgia is a big swim state. These schools could have pretty good teams overnight if they decided to get into the sport.
