I think Hurts situation is making things seem more complicated.
Most 4 game redshirts aren't going to be the same as him, because he's about to graduate.
So he'd have immediate eligibility elsewhere (as a graduate transfer) AND would have had
two years left to play if he'd taken this season as his 4-game redshirt.
As-is, he'll still be a grad transfer next year but it'll be a one & done deal at his new place.
