Freeze wasn't a serious candidate from what I've heard, mainly because of the concern that he'd immediately jump to a HC job. Same with Fedora, although he might be a preferable flight risk to Briles. Taggart is going on his 12th OC in 9 years. So that's an issue I believe he is sensitive about trying to fix.

As far as Winston goes, he's a huge idiot, but if you read all of the information on what occurred, there wasn't much to it. I know we're in the culture of taking people down on accusations, but he wouldn't have been convicted of anything. That's not to say he hasn't shown himself to be a pretty poor excuse for a human overall, but...
