Yeah, I was gonna say that the waves & cycles of popularity/usage are also probably very regional, on macro & micro levels. For instance, Portland has always had a culture built around lots of young creative folks, burning both ends at high-stress service jobs trying to fuel whatever their dreams may be, and in those circles of folks like strippers and late-night restaurant workers coke is practically currency and has likely never gone out of style.
