I mentioned earlier in this thread that I had just started working a couple months ago after a ten year break. Today I got a message from HR about "Hey were working on your garnishment paperwork right now"
....uhhhhh, what? Turn out I've got this zombie debt that some collection agency has been keeping alive for literally the last 15 years while also plugging interest on top, and now I've got a surprise $12K debt. Wheee?
