Went to Oahu over the holidays. Here's a quick summary

1) Pearl Harbor & Museums - it was cool and sombering being in such a historic place. Spent the day. Can't imagine being a WWII submariner
2) Dole Plantation - fun place, way too many pineapple stuff everywhere
3) Diamond Head crater - hiked it, great views
4) Botanical garden - enjoyed the walk around and worth it if you are even slightly inclined IMO. Didn't know there was such a thing as a sausage tree!
5) Zoo - not fantastic and seem over weight with birds but still nice
6) Aquarium - a let down
7) Waikiki beach - walked around it, too many people
8) Northshore - drove through it but could see the waves. If you are a surfer, this is the place to stay
9) Polynesian Cultural Center - enjoyed it and can see kids < 12 really liking it
10) Bishop museum - learn more about Hawaiian history. The royal lineage apparently ends with last surviving female
