I didn't even know it was Spike Lee until about an hour ago. That makes so much sense. I also hated Miracle at St. Anna....I think mostly because that was a
really bad movie.
The dialog is definitely Spike Lee clunky and heavy handed. In that 20 minutes I watched I think there were 3 different instances of characters blurting out the name of some obscure soldier and then flatly rattling off their Wikipedia introduction in the middle of unrelated conversations.
