OK, so if I'm understanding this right (and trying to put this into WW terms)
Day action - search a room thoroughly (after this you can wander as much as you like)
Night action - sleep or stay awake in a room - if you don't specify which you presumably stay awake in the room you were in last?
Also I'm not sure about the strategy of publicly searching, if we aren't 100% sure there are no wolves in this game. Feels like the second you find something it gets publicly announced and you have put a huge target on your back. Or am I off in that line of thinking?
