I still think that may be difficult. Carter won 6 states and DC in 1980. That's 49 Electoral votes.
Trump could piss on the American flag, and I think he wins still wins South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, West Virginia, Arkansas, and Oklahoma (and Wyoming, North Dakota, etc).
