--Rick Rude def. Terry Taylor in 4:34 after a Rude Awakening. (C, 65)

--Jimmy Hart comes out to start the show to a chorus of boos as he introduces the “shut-ins at home” to the newest members of the First Family, King Kong Bundy and Rick Rude, and says that Lawler’s days are numbered and so is Jerry Stubbs after the next match. (C+, 68)

--King Kong Bundy w/Jimmy Hart def. Jerry Stubbs in 6:45 by pinfall after a Big Splash. (B-, 75)

--Jim Cornette comes out and announces the newest tag team to Cornette’s Dynasty and the next Southern tag team champions, Dennis Condrey and Norvell Austin. He calls his new team the “Midnight Express.” (B-, 72)

--The Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette def. The Fantastics in 7:45 by pinfall after a full nelson faceslam by Condrey on Bobby Fulton. (C, 64)

--Jimmy Hart comes back out to the announce table with Bundy and Rude for an interview with Russell. Hart asks Randy Savage to come out. Savage obliges with Bundy and Rude clapping as he approaches Hart. Hart offers Savage his managerial services and wants him to join the First Family. Savage walks away with no response as Hart looks confused. (B, 78)

--Bobby Eaton, Koko Ware, and Ricky Morton def. Randy Savage and the Moondogs w/Jimmy Hart in 10:59 by pinfall after a missile dropkick by Morton on Moondog Rex. Randy Savage left the Moondogs midway through the match after not being tagged in at all. (B, 82) Eaton, Ware, and Morton celebrate their win after the match. (C+, 67)

--Lance Russell interviews Jerry Lawler on his title defense later versus Don Bass. (A, 93) Manny Fernandez and Jim Cornette then come out and argue with Lawler, leading to a brawl between Fernandez and Lawler. (C+, 70)

–Manny Fernandez w/Jim Cornette def. Jimmy Valiant in 10:16 by pinfall following a Flying Burrito. (B, 81)

--Randy Savage comes out and is asked to explain his actions in the six-man tag match earlier in the show. Savage says that Jimmy Hart needs to understand it’s real hard for him to trust people, especially managers that wear sunglasses indoors. (B+, 85)

AWA Southern Heavyweight Title Match
--Jerry Lawler def. Don Bass in 10:19 by pinfall after a flying fistdrop. (B, 82) Jerry Lawler makes his second defense of the Southern title

--According to Jackie Fargo, a bunch of the boys in the back complained about Ricky Morton leaving a mess everywhere and not cleaning after himself. Morton is told to clean up and, as expected with Fargo, ordered to buy drinks for everyone after the show.

--A solid card and main event as things heat up in the Hart and Cornette stables. The Midnight Express make their debut, along with Rick Rude.
