I find it equal parts amusing and tragic from a psychological point of view when people presume that I can't actually believe the things I do, particularly when it seems clear to me they haven't fully reckoned with the implications of their statements. We should be able to agree to disagree without getting insulting, I'm guessing it's bad habits learn from other boards.
For some here, it's an Pavlovian response to insult at the personal level, just like playing the racism (vs prejudice/bigot) card. And if you get down to that personal insult level, there's hypocritical outrage.
