For as nice a story as in-state native Stetson Bennett ending up as the (current) UGA starting QB is, the revisionist history that's starting to develop is a bit hard to take.
Yes, he started preparing for the season as the 4th or 5th QB on the depth chart but this "he didn't pout, he didn't transfer, he just waited for his moment" narrative I'm seeing today requires a helluva lot of suspension of disbelief.
He DID transfer, to a JUCO for a year. He returned to Athens when he got only 2nd & 3rd tier offers from anywhere else.
This isn't a case of "oh I just knew if I was patient ..." or anything of the sort.
