Apparently the SEC kept A&M in the dark about Texas and OU. The word is they've been discussing this for at least six months, but A&M only found out a couple of weeks ago, and leaked the story to their Houston Chronicle contact.

Asked about A&M being kept in the dark during secret negotiations between Texas-OU and SEC, one connected SEC source tells me, "I wouldn't dispute that."
