Various collected data

So up to now, I have played from 1983-2002, 1983-2020, and 1983-2036, for a total of 112 seasons.

In 14 of those seasons my team was a top-5 Defence, and in 12 was a top-5 Offence.

Removing two seasons where we did both, the following observations stood the test of time.

1- Defence wins titles- In all 12 "top D" seasons that were not also "top O"we made the playoffs with 4 Bowl wins and 1 very close Bowl loss 19-17. We also had two very close Conf. Champ losses of 17-16 and 14-13.

Comparitively in the top O years that were not also top D, we had 1 Bowl appearance and lost, and 1 other Conf. Champ appearance that we were routed in 47-13

2-Defence seems to beat Ofence more than the inverse.
In our top-D seasons in which we were not also top O, we faced 23 timesa top-5 O teams...our record in those games was 18-4-1.
In our top-5 O seasons where we were not also a top D, we faced 17 top D teams, and had a 6-11 record in those games.

3-Two Point conversions using a Play action pass have been successful for my teams 185 out of 192 times...and for opponents 246 out of 253 times...luckily the opponent does not seem to exploit this issue.

It has been interesting seeing the league slowly change over the years, the average offence plays per game have increased incrementally each season so that each league I have run, gets off around 4 more plays per game than they did in the common 1983 starting point.
