The prequels are an abomination while the sequels were just not very good.
7 is basically a soft reboot
8 is by far the most interesting, and anything i genuinely like about the sequels is in this movie. It's mostly too long. I think you can cut a bunch off and this movie is very good.
9 was incredibly stupid
