Happy Fathers Day!
Is this a male version of a Lifetime movie?
My oldest son and his partner showed up this morning after flying in from Switzerland yesterday. The only person who knew he was coming was my youngest son. His job was to make sure I did not go to the gym this morning as I usually would. Job well done.
I can already tell I am going to be in tears most of the day. I am a compersion junkie. While I was absolutely overjoyed to see my oldest in person after such a long time, it was nothing compared seeing how happy the brothers are together. Even better than that was seeing my wife's face as she burst out the bedroom when my oldest yelled that coffee was ready. We still have to go see my mother and go to our annual Father's Day get together with friends, many of whom have been his play aunties and uncles for most of both boys' life. Definitely going to be a great day.
