Basically the suspect remained hospitalized until a couple days ago and the DA seems to have doubts whether he'll ever recover enough to stand trial. Any info from interviews with parents? From what I know, still unanswered ... no motives? where did the gun come from? did the kid have history of problems etc.
I think these are basic questions that they have (possible) answers to by now.
