Much of the credit for Lafayette's success this season goes to the team's medical staff. With the exception of
Ben Miele's injury in the NCAA tournament, Coach Sims' players remained remarkably injury-free.
Lafayette players dominated the plus/minus category, but otherwise, none of them led the Patriot League in any individual statistical measure. Invariably, however, the team leader in a stat was among the league's best.
I'll use
Matt Robles as an example. His 9.1 RPG was second in the league, behind the dominant 11.1 average of Bucknell's
Charles Moncrief. Three Leopards were among the league's top six scorers.
