Noah grew up locally and rooted for Villanova as a boy. He leapt at the chance to play for us, knowing he'd have to wait his turn while another local product,
Asher Wise, was around.
But there was another player like Noah in his recruiting class, one you'll meet in a few moments, a player who became a starter his freshman year. Meanwhile, Noah didn't play at all as a sophomore.
To his credit, Noah stuck with us, and he played a key role as a junior. He began his senior season as a starter, and he averaged nearly 16 points a game over that stretch. That's precisely the player I hoped we'd get when I recruited him: a dangerous scorer who could also play solid defense.
Noah is an excellent student who is planning to remain at Villanova and pursue a master's degree in English. He'd like to teach and write and coach some basketball, and he doesn't plan on moving too far away. I suspect we'll see him at quite a few games.
