I'm expecting to rout a UConn team that enters the game with a perfect 5-0 mark in Big East play, but that's what happens. We delight a big crowd at the Wells Fargo Center with an extremely well-played game.
Our defense holds the Huskies to .276/.286/.688 shooting, which makes winning a lot easier. We are on point offensively, too, with five double-figure scorers.

Another big game from big Savion Wells (23p/13r) powers us to victory over the Bearcats.
Mason Reynolds (16p/8r/5a/2b/3s) turns in another of his trademark scoresheet-packing performances.
Chris Woolstenhulme posts his fourth double-double of the year (16p/10r). He's tied with Reynolds in that category, one behind team leader Wells.
Connor Baxter continues to play well (15p/6r).
We stay on the heels of Louisville in the Big East race. The Cardinals are ranked #2 behind a West Virginia team that's holding on to the #1 position, despite two Big East losses.

A shakeup at the top of the polls brings us back to the top spot. I can't help feeling like there's another loss in our future; we face West Virginia, Louisville, and Georgetown in February, and although we'll play them all at home, running that gauntlet without a misstep will be tough.
