And the proverbial local car dealers in the college sports world have wanted to pay the players more than the considerable monetary value that scholarships have for decades.
The funny part is I agree with your general point. I just don't understand why you only have the expectation of the players to not want to get paid far beyond their value when everyone else both in and out of the college sports world is doing the opposite.
Sidenote: How much value do the scholarships really have when we are at a point where there are questions about if the schools themselves and the degrees they hand out have any value?
