Devers is literally the worst defensive 3B is the sport and Bregman is coming off a gold glove. It's a joke.

Okay Nico Harrison, maybe it's best to let the situation play out a bit before trying to move a franchise icon who is in his prime and brings elite offensive production. (Especially considering the number of teams who would even take that contract is like 4) It seems to me like Cora bungled this whole thing, starting with spending a really weird amount of time this offseason talking about how good Alex Bregman could be at a position he's barely played in 2B if the plan is to move Raffy to DH more or less full time. I don't even think he's asked Devers to move off third to DH, he's hiding behind "when roster construction leads to it" or "in certain matchups", if it's up in the air how much Bregman will play at 2B or 3B of course Devers is going to want to play 3B as much as possible, he's a gamer. I even watched part of the interview, it really spiraled downhill when our relentlessly negative Boston reporters started asking him if he was moving to DH because he is fat and/or because he can't throw coming off the shoulder issues, that's where he started putting his foot in the ground and saying he's a third baseman not a DH.
Shoot I'm not even convinced we're a better defensive team with Bregman at 3B if both Raffy and Masa are in the lineup as they should be vs righties, Yoshida is terrible in LF and I love Kristian Campbell but he's not an elite or very experienced fielder at either 2B or LF yet. Campbell LF/Bregman 2B/Devers 3B/Masa DH seems fine to me in comparison to Masa LF/Campbell 2B/Bregman 3B/Devers DH
